TIBCO iProcess Suite

TIBCO iProcess Suite is a complete set of software products for business process management (BPM) developed by TIBCO Software Inc. Consultants and designers can simulate, execute, model, and monitor business processes through the use of this software set that is made up of seven components. The first component is the Server Engine where the BPM activities are executed. It acts both as a workflow server and as a business automation engine. The second component is a Business Studio that provides an eclipse-based modeling tool that develops and tests business processes. Other components are the Workplace for administrative functions; the Browser that is used to process assigned tasks; and a feature called Decisions, a management tool for business analysts. Completing this software set are the Analytics for performance monitoring, Insight for business activity monitoring (BAM), and the Conductor that defines execution plans and are represented as Gantt Charts.

TIBCO Business Studio

TIBCO Business Studio is a standards-based, business process-modeling environment that allows modeling and simulation of business processes and their supporting data and organization models. Business experts and IT professionals can collaborate and use this application to develop, model, and deploy business process applications. Standards-based process modeling using BPMN can perform simulations to identify costs, validate processes and pinpoint bottlenecks. Organizational structures, user interface forms, page flows, and business processes can be modeled and simulated to assess their impact on the business. Organization modeling defines the organization structure and attributes through evaluation of the behavior of business processes in relation to the way people perform their jobs. A vocabulary of core business objects can be defined by using UML in business data modeling. Business data abstracted from process models by using explicit data models enable data model re-use across processes. TIBCO Business Studio can be used to develop process applications and deploy them to TIBCO ActiveMatrix® BPM or TIBCO Silver™ BPM.
