INVedit

InVedit is an inventory editor for the sandbox construction game Minecraft. The game is played in a 3D environment where players take on an avatar that can destroy and create blocks, and create artwork and structures from the created blocks. The creative and building aspects of Minecraft include exploration, crafting, combat, and gathering of resources. The two principal modes in the game are the survival mode that requires players to acquire resources to maintain their health and hunger, and the creative mode where players are provided with an unlimited supply of resources without the conditions of health or hunger. Invedit allows players to edit their inventories while playing Minecraft in each of the 3D environments where the game is being played. It can increase or decrease the inventory of an item in the game, or spawn other items that can be used in the creative mode. InVedit also allows players to +remove and place enchantments on items, load blocks and items from enclosed files, and edit the game books.

MCEdit

MCEdit is an open source world editor for the sandbox construction game Minecraft. The game is played in a 3D procedurally generated world where players can choose the game mode. The two principal modes are the survival mode that requires players to acquire resources to maintain their health and hunger, and the creative mode where players are provided with an unlimited supply of resources without the conditions of health or hunger. The players can procedurally generate an infinitely large game world that in turn can be split into smaller sections or chunks. Integration of the MCEdit software with the Minecraft Server allows players to generate terrain that support multiplayer worlds. The brush tools in the application can paint blocks in a round, diamond, or square shape with configurable size, add blocks, remove blocks, and alter the world terrain to smooth out rough objects. Players can navigate the worlds and locate dropped items, game entities like monsters and villages, hidden ores, blocks, and other Minecraft internals. It can load saved games from current Minecraft versions and from the older Classic and Indev versions.
