Maxwell Render is a graphic software that helps in creating realistic images from a computer using 3D data. This renderer can be used as a plugin in conjunction with other popular 3D software such as 3D Studio Max, Autodesk Viz, Maya, Cinema 4D, ArchiCAD, Bonzai 3D, Form-Z, Houdini, After Effects, Lightware, Microstation, Rhino 3D, SoftImage XSI, Sketch Up, Modo, Nuke, Solid Works and Photoshop. It is made easier to use because users are not required to change arbitrary illumination settings because the software make use of unbiased algorithm and global illumination algorithm (GI). It makes use of realistic camera paradigm to render images. Maxwell Render may also be used as a standalone application. It supports various file formats such as MXS, NFF, STL, OBJ, XC2, 3DS, DXF, FBX, XML, DAE, LWO and PLY. It runs on any machine running Linux (on x86-64), Mac OS X (PowerPC / IA-32) and Microsoft Windows (X86-64 / IA-32).
