Insight Software Solutions mainly creates and develops macro automation software for Windows. Their flagship product Macro Express is packed with hundreds of macros that automate any function in the operating system. Programming skills are only needed when customizing VB scripts, but ordinary users mostly use Quick Wizards that compose macros for them based on their answers to questions the utility asked. Other people use the Capture tool to record their keystrokes and mouse movements, turn these actions into code, and compile everything into an embedded macro that simulates how humans use the computer. User-generated macros are stored in a MEX file that only Macro Express can read. Macros are activated when the user presses a Hot Key combination, inputs the correct shortkey, clicks on a corner of the screen, and runs them from Macro Explorer or through the DOS command line.
