The LP7Creator is a desktop application used to create and append electronic signatures to original documents of any file type, including DOC, PDF, CAD, XML, and other formats. Saving a signed document creates an authenticated version of the electronic original, but in the software's proprietary LP7 format. These files can only be previewed and edited using the Lex Persona LP7Creator or LP7Signer, which is used to verify and countersign the documents. As a stand-alone program, LP7Signer is freely available for download from the corporate site. Both applications have quick installation packs for Windows and Mac OS. The signed documents they generate are legally binding and heavily secured with automatic timestamps, trust certificates, and validated digital identities. Electronically generated signatures that are added to LP7 documents meet the global standards in preserving the evidence and authenticating the signatures with X.509 v3 digital certificates.
