3DMark is a program that will serve as the gamer’s benchmark to determine the gaming capabilities of laptops with entry level, tablets, notebooks and older PCs that run on Windows XP. The program has different editions and markets. 3DMark 11 is the benchmark for DirectX 11, using its new features extensively such as compute shaders, tessellation and multi-threading. 3DMark Vantage is the gamer’s PC benchmark for DirectX 10 video cards. It features two CPU tests, two graphics tests and six feature tests. 3DMark06 is the benchmark for DirectX 9 giving you a comprehensive set of game benchmark tools for accurate analysis. A soon-to-be released 3DMark for Windows is the first unified benchmark that will test DirectX 9, DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 in notebooks, tablets and desktops. 3DMark for Android measures Android’s gaming performance and real-time graphics capabilities. Futuremark’s Benchmark Development Program aims to establish partnerships with leading technology and hardware manufacturers including NVIDIA, Intel, Microsoft, Imagination Technologies, AMD, Qualcomm and Samsung to help the company create impartial, high-standard benchmarks for measuring performance.
