As a pioneer in imaging technology, Eastman Kodak developed Kodak EasyShare for customers who preferred to get their digital cameras and accessories, thermal and inkjet printers, printing supplies, and online printing services from the same manufacturer. Because they're all produced under the Kodak brand, customers expect the equipment, software, and web apps to be compatible when they're used together. As of now, the all-in-one printers and online printing service have been rebranded and the thermal printers and printer docks have been discontinued. The cameras, digital frames, and desktop applications are the only products remaining under the Kodak EasyShare sub-brand. Even then, the EasyShare software for Macintosh and Windows OS and RocketLife's Custom Creations are now unavailable for future downloads. Essentially, the Kodak EasyShare series of digital cameras consist of point-and-shoot models designed for ordinary consumers and for beginners in photography.
