DWI which stands for Dance with Intensity is a music video game. This software was made by young programmers from California. This software comes with Simfiles or the songs heard when playing the game. The Simfiles were organized according to their genre. This video game has a series from various kinds of music mainly the trance and house music. As time pass by there were new genre such as Drum and Bass, Hardcore, and Smooth Jazz. There would be a special series for the chosen music artist every ninth series in the chapter. Series are divided into normal series and the special series. There are ten series within a chapter. The featured artist are David Morales, Cahill, DJ Tonka, Grant Nelson, Interphace, Groove that soul, Eric Kupper, Love to Infinity, Maurice Joshua, Moto Blanco, Soul Seekers, Wideboys, StoneBridge and T &F vs. Moltosugo. And some of the song are transplanted directly for KONAMI musics.
StepMania rhythm video game and engine which originally functioned as a simulator of the Dance Dance Revolution. Now, it has evolved into a rhythm game engine which can support various types of rhythm-based game series like the Groove and Pump It Up Pro. It was also included in a video game exhibition in 2005 at the New York's Museum of the Moving Image. The main game play was that arrows are scrolling upwards on the screen, which also has a stationary set of target arrows. When these scrolling arrows meet the stationary sets, the player needs to press the corresponding arrows on a keyboard or a dance mat. The movement of the arrow and the meeting of the targets are based on the beat of the song. Players are scored on how accurately they can trigger the arrows in time to the beat of the song. The gaming software also permits several input options. It can be connected with a specialized adapters to console peripherals like PS2 and Xbox controllers, and the dance pad can be used on computers. The keyboard may also be utilized to input the rhythms using the arrow keys or preferred set of keys by the user. The game can also emulate other music games like the Beatmania, o2Jam and DJMAX's 7-key arrangement, Pump It Up and Techno Motion.
