Immersive Education Mission Maker

MissionMaker is a product of collaboration between Immersive Education and the London Knowledge Lab, which merged two research centers from the University of London. The software allows students to design role-playing adventure games, mystery or detective games, shoot-em-up games, and narrative puzzles in a 3D environment without need of programming skills. This software contains sets of game components that students select and place. These assets include locations like rooms and passages, indoor/outdoor props, characters' appearance, character props, objects that players can pick-up and examine, action triggers like clicking a door leads to another room, and media like sound effects, music, and animation. Creating a game mostly involves setting up the sequence of actions and events required for players to reach the game's objective. As a game-authoring tool, MissionMaker needs Direct3D technology with a high-performance graphics card with hardware acceleration to render 3D graphics animation in full screen and without pixelation.
