Why do I need to run an application as the Administrator?

If you use a regular Windows User Account and want to run an application that needs unlimited access to your computer’s resources and (or) makes changes to your system settings to perform its functions well, it will require the highest level of permission offered by the computer’s Administrator user account. The “Run as Administrator” option applies this permission to the application you intend to use.
