Hi Avinash,
Sounds counter intuitive but I would recommend that you reinstall Avast and then try to uninstall it again by using the Control Panel.
Here\'s how:

Sometimes problems can happen during an uninstall and fragments of applications can be left over. Reinstalling and then going through the uninstall process again can resolve this.

Hi Avinash,
Here's some info on the aswfsblk.sys process:
http://www.reviversoft.com/processes/aswfsblk.sys
As explained in the article, it's the avast! File System Access Blocking Driver that AVAST makes use of when it's running. It is possible that this driver was not stopped/disabled/uninstalled correctly, which is why it is causing problems.
I would follow Mark's suggestion to restart your computer, reinstall AVAST, exit the AVAST app completely and uninstall AVAST and all its dependencies through the Windows control panel and restart again. You should now be able to install another anti-virus software.
Let us know how you go with this.

Hi Avinash,
You can easily remove a program by following the below steps in Windows 8: Right-click the app’s tile from the Start screen; when the App bar rises from the Start screen’s bottom edge, click the Uninstall icon, shown in the margin. To remove an unwanted desktop program or change its settings, head for the desktop’s Control Panel by following these steps:
You can use Avast's uninstallation utility avastclear.
