Without knowing which program you are having problems with and without knowing which issues you are having when trying to reinstall it's difficult for us to offer anything but general help. Sometimes some programs don't reinstall well and they have to be completely uninstalled before they can be reinstalled again.
How long ago did the problem start? If it only started in the last week or two you might want to consider doing a System Restore to a date just before the problems began. You might also give us the name of the program, someone reading here who has experience and good knowledge of the program might be able to offer good solid help.
On Windows 10, System Restore is turned off by default, but you can use the following steps to enable it:
Open Start.
Search for Create a restore point, and click the result System Properties.
Under "Protection Settings," select the main system drive, and click the Configure button.
Select the Turn on system protection option. Quick Tip: You can also use the slider to set the amount of storage you want System Restore to use, which by default is only one percent.
Click Apply.
Click OK.
Once you've completed the steps, a new restore point will be created automatically when an important system change occur, such as before an installation of a Windows 10 update.
In the case you come across any issues, before reinstalling Windows 10, you roll back changes using a restore point to get up and running again.
Open Start.
Search for Create a restore point, and click the result System Properties.
Click the System Restore button.
Click Next.
Select the most recent known working restore point that will help you to fix the current problem.
Click the Scan for affected programs button to see the applications that will be removed if they're installed after the restore point was created.
Click Close.
Click Next.
Click Finish.
Once you've completed the steps, your device will go back in time to a previous state where everything was working correctly.
I kept getting the blue screen with Driver Power State Failure error message and then my computer would restart. I found your product and it did not happen any more. I just purchased an anti-virus (kaspersky) and now it is doing it again. It is so frustrating. My computer is only 6 months old. It is a Asus desktop.
